Layouts

SKnet Version 0: Rain Clouds

This layout is Version 0, because it was the transition layout I had up [for a very long time, I might add] on SKnet. I haven't been able to find the version I edited to remove the "priceless@luve-me.net" text and replace it with "SeelyKay.net", but essentially it is the same layout, so I'm posting the older version of it. The inspiration came from the song Hello by Evanescence. It has a pretty personal significance to it, which I'll choose not to disclose here so publicly. It's kind of a mirror image of an old layout [Refer to Priceless Version 11: Miracle] I made ages ago for a smilar situation with a different perspective. I guess I feel that it shows how I can be about certain things. The bipolar/contradictive way I am. I made it with the same tools. Same brushes, same styles, same idea. With slight differences in an opposite direction. [ie. I darkened the original photo, not lightened it and I took color out instead of put it in]

SKnet Version 1: Cinematic

Inspired by [and featuring the lyrics of] Every Moment by Jet Black Stare. Took about 5 hours to throw together. Not a whole lot special about it. I pretty much just sat down one night and starting pouring my feelings into graphics while listening to music and this was the result.

SKnet Version 2: Memory

Inspiration for this was a work in progress for months. One evening while listening to the album Colors by Between the Buried and Me, I started thinking how much one song definitely makes you visualize the picture on the cover. With that in mind, I decided I would make a modern-er, more me-esque version of the cover art, just so I could have some fun with Photoshop. But I got lazy and pretty much photoshopped a pretty picture and never finished anything with it. Eventually, I decided that I was going to finish it for certain personal reasons. As I was making it, I realized that the underlying theme was becoming memories, not the whole "modern city" thing I was originally going for. Reason being, the human brain tints memories with color to convey emotion and remind you of how it felt to make it more real or something like that. Well, good memories are golden. [Thus the colors] And not only that, but given how long I waited to finish it, it brought back a ton of memories of listening to this album and other such things. So, voila. A layout is born.

Priceless Version 8: Beautiful

Inspiration for this came from Beautiful Disaster by Kelly Clarkson. Also I was minorly obsessed with Keira Knightley at the time. This layout was the first one I ever used an image map for. I obviously didn't do it very creatively... Credits: Google Image Search, Photoshop CS2, TextEdit.

Priceless Version 9: Elegance

Inspired by a [and featuring] Catherine Zeta Jones. I made this after watching a movie she was in, I believe. And I kept thinking how every movie she's in, she's always playing someone very elegant or classy or things like that. So... I came up with this.

Priceless Version 10: Scream

This layout is one of my least favorite... I didn't like the colors and the end result was a lot... more angry/emo looking than I was going for, but I was growing really bored of my previous one, so I made a placeholder while I finished up a better one. This was inspired by Green Day [apparently, at least] and I think 10 Things I Hate About You?

Priceless Version 11: Miracle

I really can't even remember where the inspiration from this came from. I just had a super happy, hopeful feeling and I was feeling all dreamy and creative and positive. This resulted. It's a shame I can't remember the inspiration because this really is one of my favorite layouts that I've ever put together.

Priceless Version 12: Walk On By

Inspired by and featuring a comic called Sinfest. Very much my style of comic that day, so I felt like making it into a layout of sorts. My very first layout where the style wasn't written with absolute formatting.

Priceless Version 13: Blow Me Away

The inspiration for this came from some puppy-love feeling a boy once gave me [most likely?]. Who knows, it was incredibly long ago. The contrast is pretty terrible, despite the fairly fun idea. I obviously didn't test this on different resolutions and different monitors... It looked nice to me so I must've been satisfied.
Credits: Google Image Search, Photoshop CS2, TextEdit. I used a downloaded brush set in making this, but I cannot remember who from or where from...

Priceless Version 14: Beauty In The Breakdown

Inspired by a song called Let Go (the cover version by A Static Lullaby) and Never Again by Kelly Clarkson. I listened to these two songs on repeat for the entire time I made this layout. Not my favorite image-wise, because the photos I used were screenshots from the Kelly Clarkson music video, which had poor resolution. I finished this in one go in one night and coded it in another the next night. For how quickly I threw it together, it turned out not bad, I guess... Either way, this layout was [pretty obviously] a creative venting from when I was in a bad mood. Priceless Version 16: Destiny

The inspiration for this came from the movie Serendipity. I happend to come across a really cool image after having just watched the movie. This was the resulting layout.
Credits: Google Image Search, Photoshop CS2, TextEdit. I used a downloaded brush set in making this, but I cannot remember who from or where from...

Want one? Well send me an email. We'll work something out. I can easily redo past layouts for your specifications. I can make you your very own one, too, of course. All I would need is a theme, idea, thought, song, picture... anything really.

Other Graphics

Too lazy to make multiple sections. I also don't really know what I still even have in my lovely back up files. I might not even have any more brushes! =O Also under contruction for the moment.
